I took this photo already on one of my first days in Guelph but didn't have a chance to check out the cafe that time. Yesterday I spend a lovely afternoon with my Australian friend Lauren just hanging out downtown and checking out all the places we still haven't been.
The entire downtown is full of little independent stores, restaurants and bars. Wherever you go in you will be greeted with a big smile and you can't leave without a chat. In one clothing the owner described Guelph as a town full of hippies. He said he owns stores in NYC and Chicago but likes the atmosphere in Guelph the best.
I live a twenty minute bus ride away from downtown but will definitely try to go out there more often while I still can. Rest of this weekend is pretty much dedicated to studying since I have three midterms coming next week...
Can't wait for next Friday. I will have a week break from the uni and my whole family is gonna come to visit me. I miss them so much and I'm exited to explore Toronto and other places together with them.
