Woke up in Quebec this morning! Me, Becca and Jesse needed a little weekend getaway and decided to go and stay with Jesse's mom in Quebec for few days. The bus ride was 7 hours long but not that bad after all. We arrived late last night and wake up to this winter wonderland this morning.
The weather is pretty arctic! It's -20 degrees but the day was simply too pretty not to go outside so we just put on the warmest clothes and headed outdoors.
We put on the snowshoes and headed for the forest. Haven't done much exercise since I got here so it was about time to loose some of those delicious poutines...
Found our way to a lake which was absolutely beautiful. Made some snow angels and just enjoyed ourselves like little kids.
We are just 20 minutes from the border of Ontario but you can definitely tell we have entered the French part of Canada. All the signs are in French, you can get alcohol from the grocery store and when you go to a cafe they first serve you in French and only after you look at them weird they change to English.
Later in the night we had the most awesome jamming session at the house with pretty much all the instruments we could find. Just a very happy day here in Quebec! Tomorrow we are going to Ottawa! Stay tuned!
