Beavertail hunting in Ottawa

Did I already happen to mention that it's freaking cold in here? Before coming to Ottawa I thought it was freezing in Guelph but being there for few days really gave the word a whole new meaning. No matter how well you dress the wind just makes -20 to feel like -40!
Anyway we came all this way so definitely didn't wanna miss seeing what Ottawa is all about. My favorite way of exploring new places is to just wander around the streets without no particular destination. This time we definitely couldn't do that but instead tried to survive few minutes in the cold and at least go through the "must sees" of Ottawa.
3 little tourists in front of the Canadian parliament.

During the weekend there was a winter festival in Ottawa and we saw beautiful ice sculptures through out the city.

Isn't it nice that my face is almost as red as the Canadian flag?
Ran into some adorable huskies and the owners led us into a exhibition of North-West territories of Canada.
Most of the foreign people I have met during my travels think that we have polar bears in Finland. We don't! Maybe that's why I was kind of surprised that in the North Western  territories of Canada they really do.
Ladies and gentleman, let us introduce to you the delicious Canadian treat; Beavertails! Shaped as a beavertail, tastes like a donut!
