Last ten days with my family were so much fun that I cannot help but to post some more photos. Saying goodbye to them on Monday ( my sister already a day before that) was definitely sad. It almost felt like my exchange started all over again.

Ten days was enough to get a good hang of Toronto. Since arriving to our apartment we didn't use the public transportation or taxis at all, the location was so great. I am pretty proud of us for exploring the downtown by foot despite the freezing cold. Even the locals were apologizing for the extreme cold weather like it would have been their fault.

Good thing about the cold is that you always have a good excuse to hop in to a warm bar or restaurant for a break. We fixed our own breakfast each morning (exempt for the one you can see in the pic) and mostly ate out at daytime. The prices in restaurants seem cheap first but when you add taxes and tip to the price you see in the menu it is just as expensive as in Finland.
The waterfront of Toronto is beautiful and must be a good hang out spot in the summer time. We tried to take a ferry to Toronto Islands to see the sunset one night but even the ferries were closed because of the temperature drop.
We saw a lot but best part of break was just to hang out with these four. I don't know if I'm getting old or what but I have been really missing my family a lot more compared to the time when I spend a whole year in Mississippi years back.
It was amazing to wake up and go to sleep seeing this view from our apartment. Something I definitely could get used to. Last week was great but now it's time to see what the last half of the semester still has to offer in Guelph! Today I got back the results from my midterms and at least I passed every single one of them.
See how could I have possibly survived without my mom trying to lay down at the class floor on top of the CN tower?
Rakastan teitä, kohta nähdään taas!
