Friday night we hosted Brooke's going away party at our house. She is about to begin her own exchange adventure in Austria in just few days. I'm so happy that this time last year I found her post about the room that I'm now living in and that I also had time to get to know her before she leaves. 
Being part of someone's farewell party was very bittersweet. Our house was full of great people and laughter but at the same time it made me think of my own party back home about a month back. 
I'm not going to deny it, I definitely miss home a lot. But everything here has been so great and there are so many things to come that I'm so exited for. It's a funny feeling when I'm here and missing home but at the same time I already know that when I get home I will also miss this. I guess that's just how life is.
